About Dr. Gillman
Dr. Michael Gillman, a native of Orange County, is a Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon specializing in specializes in the treatment of a variety of orthopedic conditions, including general orthopedic surgery, disorders of the foot and ankle, sports medicine, fractures, pediatric orthopedics, arthritis and joint reconstruction.
Dr. Gillman graduated from Stanford University where he received a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Gillman received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in Musculoskeletal Studies, and was elected to the AOA honors society. He then completed an Internship in General Surgery and an Orthopedic Residency at Tufts University/New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Gillman also completed Fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Gillman has served as a governing board member at the Specialty Surgical Center of Irvine, and also at Orangewood Surgical Center. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the Orthopedic Surgery department at South Coast Medical Center. He currently serves on the Orthopedic Executive Committee at Mission Hospital Regional medical center, and is on the Board of Directors at Tarbut V’Torah community school in Irvine. Dr. Gillman has also developed a technique for patient-specific hip replacement.
